The Web3 + AI Daily #72
A dedicated judicial system has started to emerge to cater to the nascent machine economy.
Hello, everyone, and welcome to all newly joined subscribers!
This is The Web3 + AI Daily, your definitive guide to the intersection of blockchain and AI! Believe it or not, a dedicated agentic judicial system has started to emerge 𤯠Today, Iâm taking a closer look at the Internet Court and the latest developments in Bittensor, and Iâm also sharing an intriguing event for the builders and researchers among you.
Thank you for being here! Letâs dive in.
Whatâs Hot in Web3 + AI?
The Internet Court is Here
With agent-to-agent deals and payment transactions increasing exponentially, contractual disagreements are bound to arise. Yet our judicial system is simply unable to intervene where only an internet-native court can.
Thatâs the basic premise behind a novel blockchain protocol backed by 27 crypto firms, including GenLayer Labs and the Genlayer Foundation, MetaMask, OKX, NEAR Protocol, Starknet Foundation, 0G, and Matter Labs.
Agentic commerce is not prepared for the potential fallout when agents disagree at machine speed, according to David Riudor, CEO and co-founder of the GenLayer Foundation. âInternet Court is the shared place agents can turn to when a deal goes wrong. Machine-speed money needs machine-speed adjudication,â he said.
The protocol aims to help reduce the fragmentation of and actively encourage the interoperability between the various agentic commerce systems.
Thereâs a wave of emerging protocols and standards, from Coinbaseâs x402 for payments to ERC-8004 for agent identity and Googleâs A2A for agent interoperability. Each system solves one layer of the stack and leaves the rest for the agents to figure out, said Albert Castellana LluĂs, co-founder and CEO of GenLayer Labs.
In practice, what Internet Court introduces is a dispute resolution layer for the agentic economy - an effort spearheaded by GenLayer.
Web3 + AI Readings & Conversations
State of Bittensor Subnets July 2026
After the warm response to yesterdayâs breakdown of Chutes AIâs achievements, I thought you might enjoy reading a research into the latest developments around Bittensor / Opentensor Foundation. Stillcore Capital, a U.S. fund exclusively dedicated to Bittensor - bridging traditional capital to the decentralized AI revolution, just released its latest State of Subnets Report.
The report details the current market capitalization of the Bittensor network and each of its individual subnets, aligning with the fundâs main investment thesis:
Our thesis remains that $TAO will be a breakout âthird great coinâ alongside Bitcoin and Ethereum at some point.

Secure and Sovereign AI Workshop by Foresight Institute
An intriguing workshop will take place this coming weekend in Berlin. the Foresight Institute is gathering researchers and builders to ideate and collaborate across three interconnected domains: Secure AI, Private AI, and Decentralized and Cooperative AI.
Today, AI development is outpacing our defenses. Traditional security frameworks canât keep up with the speed, scale, and complexity of AI-driven threats. Privacy-preserving technologies remain fragmented and hard to scale. And as AI systems proliferate into an ecology of coordinating agents, we lack robust mechanisms that favor cooperation over zero-sum competition.
Projects incubated at the workshop will be eligible for funding.
